By using WageMap you agree to these terms. They're straightforward — we're a free public tool, not a subscription service.

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using WageMap (wagemap.stormglassinteractive.com), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy and Data Disclaimer. If you do not agree, please do not use this site.

2. Permitted use

WageMap is free to use for personal, educational, journalistic, and non-commercial research purposes. You may:

  • Use the salary tools and data for personal career research and salary negotiation preparation
  • Share links to WageMap pages
  • Reference WageMap data in journalism, research, or educational materials with appropriate attribution
  • Embed WageMap links in non-commercial content

3. Prohibited use

You may not:

  • Scrape, crawl, or systematically download data from WageMap in bulk
  • Use automated tools to access WageMap in ways that burden our servers or the BLS API
  • Reproduce WageMap's proprietary tool interfaces or design in competing products without permission
  • Use WageMap data in misleading, deceptive, or fraudulent ways
  • Represent WageMap data as current, guaranteed, or precise for any individual employment situation
  • Use WageMap to support discrimination, wage suppression, or any illegal employment practice

Note: The underlying government salary data (BLS, Census, HUD) is in the public domain and freely reusable in accordance with those agencies' terms. Our restrictions apply to WageMap's interfaces, tools, and proprietary calculations, not to the raw government data itself.

4. Intellectual property

WageMap's site design, tool interfaces, code, and original written content are the property of StormGlass Interactive Inc. and are protected by applicable copyright law. The salary data displayed is sourced from U.S. government agencies and is in the public domain.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

WageMap is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the site will be available, uninterrupted, or error-free at all times. Government API availability is outside our control.

6. Limitation of liability

StormGlass Interactive Inc. shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of WageMap or reliance on any data displayed, including but not limited to lost wages, missed opportunities, or employment decisions made based on site data. This limitation applies to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.

7. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless StormGlass Interactive Inc. and its principals from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of WageMap in violation of these terms or applicable law.

8. Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or use of WageMap shall be resolved by binding arbitration in New York County, New York, administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. You waive the right to participate in class action proceedings.

9. Modifications

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected by an updated date below. Continued use of WageMap after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
